WHO we are
We are three Biology students at the Georgia Institute of Technology: Megen Wittling, Ann Johnson, and Jessie Morris. After taking a course called Health, Genes, and Society with Dr. Greg Gibson, we were inspired to create a podcast discussing the field of personalized medicine. As our world moves toward increased integration of technology and information into medicine and personal health, we found it important to delve into the implications of personalized medicine. Our podcasts cover numerous topics, including: background information on direct-to-consumer genetic testing, common miconceptions about 23andMe, the National Organization for Rare Disorders (NORD), genetic privacy information, and even a personal story about how genetic health information and adoption information has shaped a woman's life.
